Prostate cancer is a silent killer and it strikes 1 in 7 men in their lifetime. The incidence of prostate cancer is on the rise and it is expected to hit 1 in 4 within the next 10 years. At Budget Propane, we're joining the fight to raise awareness of the disease and raise money for research to find a cure.
 
In partnership with Prostate Cancer Canada, Budget Propane has dedicated a propane delivery truck to be painted as a moving billboard to get the public talking about the disease. In addition, Budget Propane will make a donation for every litre of propane sold from the truck over the next year.
 
Additional donations can be made to Budget Propane truck drivers as they deliver to customers across the Muskoka/Simcoe region, or at the Budget Propane head office in Gravenhurst.  All the proceeds will go directly to Prostate Cancer Canada.
 
Bob Callow, the President of Budget Propane Corporation, passionately explains, ``I have some very good friends who have, and have had prostate cancer.  Most men don`t like to talk about it … even to each other.  Indeed it`s even difficult for them to talk to their doctor who manually check the prostate gland.  Each year 25,500 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and 4,100 will die from the disease in Canada.  It`s our time to defeat the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men.``

The world's largest propane industry convention and exposition was held recently in Atlanta Georgia, and Budget Propane Corporation's President, James Callow, was there to take delivery of Budget Propane's newest vehicle. The convention was held at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta and featured over 200 exhibitors and showcased the latest technology.
